Our Story
Why The Name?
Haus Between Worlds is a family-run poultry breeding and homesteading business dedicated to bridging the gap between the modern world and self-sufficiency. Our name reflects our purpose—learning how to live more intentionally while still navigating life in today’s world.
Who Are We?
We are a homeschooling family of five children, raising poultry and sharing our journey toward sustainable living, ethical animal husbandry, and hands-on education. Homesteading is at the forefront of our curriculum, where our children learn real-life skills such as poultry care, breeding genetics, responsibility, and stewardship alongside their traditional studies.
Poultry Breeding
Our poultry program was inspired by our daughters’ involvement in 4-H and county fair poultry showing. Through these experiences, we developed a passion for breeding poultry toward the Standard of Perfection (SOP) while maintaining strong, healthy, and well-tempered birds. We intentionally work toward quality structure, temperament, and breed standards.
In addition to SOP breeding, we also specialize in breeding poultry for fun and unique egg colors, including olive, blue, and other specialty eggs. We believe poultry keeping should be both purposeful and enjoyable, and our flocks reflect that balance.
Beyond Breeding
Beyond breeding, Haus Between Worlds serves as an educational platform through homesteading and poultry content creation on social media. We document our real-life experiences—successes, challenges, and lessons learned—as we continue working toward greater self-sufficiency. We believe transparency matters, especially for families who are learning, growing, and building their homestead one step at a time.
